The Low Down

  • Things to Know: Morocco is a large country, and while we travel in a comfortable private bus with USB ports and beautiful scenery, there are a few long driving days and multiple hotel changes to experience it fully. If you’re open to the journey, it’s worth every mile.

  • Energy Level: High. The sensory richness, travel days, and shifting locations require some stamina—but there’s also downtime for spa treatments and relaxation.

  • Exercise/Skill: Hikes are moderate, with guides who support varying levels. A few are optional. You must be mobile and comfortable walking on uneven terrain.

The Low Down

  • Overall Vibe: This is a bucket-list trip that feels both sacred and celebratory. The connection to Pachamama (Mother Earth) runs deep, and the people, food, and landscapes feel rich and alive. It’s an earthy, awe-filled experience.

  • Things to Know: We begin in the Sacred Valley to acclimate to the higher elevation. Most guests take Diamox (acetazolamide) to support this and will receive pre-trip suggestions.

  • Energy Level: Moderate to high. This is a full and rewarding trip, but the travel is smooth and the accommodations are beautiful. We stay in three different places to explore the region more fully.

  • Exercise/Skill: The hike along the Inca Trail is considered moderate but includes a ~2,700 ft climb over 8 miles at high altitude. Most guests prepare with some training. Multiple guides support different paces, and you’ll have all day to take it at your own rhythm. Hiking poles are provided.

  • Things to Know: We stay in three different boutique hotels. The hikes are scenic and moderate but part of travel days—so they’re not optional. No steep climbs, but good walking shoes are essential.

  • Energy Level: Moderate. Daily pace is full but balanced. Many days include both group activity and free time.

  • Exercise/Skill: No technical experience required. The hikes are 2–3 hours, and accessible to most reasonably active women.

The Low Down

  • Overall Vibe: This is a full-sensory experience—elevated but earthy, joyful but unhurried. The scenery is breathtaking, the food is exceptional, and the pace allows for both adventure and deep exhale.

  • Things to Know: We change hotels three times to immerse ourselves in different regions with free time in each. The two hikes can be optional. There is a weight limit on the e-bikes of 225 lbs. They can give lessons on the spot and first timers are welcome. There is a van nearby during the rides for back up support.

  • Energy Level: Moderate. Some activities are optional, and e-bikes make the rolling hills accessible to most.

  • Exercise/Skill: No technical skill needed for E-bikes and lessons can be given at the start. The rides are partly on dirt roads and some gravel and the hills still require some effort. The guides and the focus is enjoyment, not endurance.

    This is our most relaxed and flexible adventure—logistically easy, with just one hotel for the entire trip. Antigua is a charming and walkable city with deep Mayan influence, a thriving culinary scene, and hidden courtyards behind carved wooden doors. There’s a sense of ease here—beauty, history, and culture at every turn. Chocolate, jade, and local textiles make for meaningful souvenirs.

  • Things to Know:
    You’ll stay at a luxurious spa hotel the entire time, with day trips woven into the itinerary. The schedule offers a blend of planned activities and personal time, making it a great fit for women who want both cultural immersion and space to relax. Activities like rooftop drinks and exploring the markets are available, but never required.

  • Energy Level:
    Light to moderate. Some excursions involve walking or hiking, but most are adaptable. Don’t want to hike the volcano? Ride a horse. Prefer to rest at the hotel instead of heading out? Totally fine. It’s your trip, your pace.

CME/CE

LH Adventure Travels offers wellness adventures centered around the core principles of Lifestyle Medicine: Movement, healthy eating, stress management, and building community. These adventures are fully experiential, with no formal lectures. Many healthcare professionals participate to enhance their care delivery, support personal wellness, and prevent burnout. Discussions about lifestyle medicine and self-care naturally occur during activities such as hikes, yoga classes, cooking sessions, and group meal discussions.

While LH Adventure Travel is not certified to offer CME (Continuing Medical Education) or CE (Continuing Education) credits, there are two independent options available for earning credits:

  1. LH Adventure Travel has partnered with Learner+, a platform where clinicians earn CME/CE credits for reflecting on daily learning experiences. This option is available to Physicians, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, Physician Assistants, Dentists, Social Workers, Athletic Trainers, Dietitians, Chaplains, and other healthcare team members.
